Hello my name is Jasmine Pena and I am 22 years old. I am currently porsuing Early Childhood Development online courses at Vanguard University which is a private university in Costa Mesa, California.
I have been learning alot about the development of young children from infant to 8 years old. I have basic experience taking care of children as young as eight years old ; from two to eight . I love interacting with children and teaching them new things and watch them learn their own way and observe them play is what makes this career fun each day.
Having a career in early childhood development has its ups and downs and its a career that is not to be taken lightly it requires the teacher and caregiver to pay close attention to each child they are taking care of and provide their needs and wants emotionally and physically.

I have had experiences taking care of my younger sister who is nine years old right now. I have been taking care of her ever since she was two years old so I have a clear idea of how challenging it is to take care of young children especially if they are loud and full of energy like my sister. The quality that helps me take care of children is that I am a really patient person, I believe that when a child misbehaves it is best to handle the problem with words and talking to the child and explaining to the child that what they did is wrong and find a solution to the problem.
