Biography:

Hi, I'm Amelia, an Assistant Teacher at a Preschool center. I have been working passionately with various ages from 2-12 for over 5 years. With private preschools, Broward County and in-home babysitting. I have a fun and creative personality and I love arts crafts. I really believe that every experience with a child is crucial to how they thrive and develop, so I always approach every childcare opportunity as a privilege to positively affect a young mind. I look forward to working with you and your little one!

Experience:

I began working with Broward Schools doing before and aftercare- immediately after my high school graduation in 2010. It was there that I fell in love with this career. I stayed for 4 years

In 2011 I also started working for the City of Pompano Beach as an Assistant Teacher. After a year, I left because the commute was toobhectic.

From 2012-2014 I continued with aftercare and I took a Sales Associate job at Sawgrass Mills. 

Over the summer, I worked again for Pompano Beach at their Highlands Park location as a Summer Camp Counselor.

Thereafter I began working fulltime at a private preschool in Tamarac, (from 2014 to 2015) where I grew as a teacher and gained so much experience in the classroom.

I went back to Highlands Park for my second summer as a Camp Counselor for Pompano Beach.

Due to my change of residence, I continued my grow at where is now my current job, as an Assitant Teacher to a wonderful mentor with 25 years teaching experience. It's been quite a journey through childcare and I've met fascinating educators and leaders along the way!
