I've worked with children for many years from babysitting to working in a daycare. I am currently working for a daycare, and I run my church's nursery, along with being a full-time college student. From a very young age I was surrounded by children more than the typical child because i went with my mom on her babysitting jobs, helped her in the nursery, and even helped my grandmother in the pediatric ward. I have always loved caring for children, especially infants. Any difference I can make in a child's life is just one more reason to continue on my early childhood education careerpathway.
I started babysitting at the age of 12. During my senior year of high school I worked as an assistant teacher for the local after school program. This past summer I began working as a camp counselor for special needs children and began the ABA credentialing process. I also began working as the Nursery Leader for my church, and am working on creating a curriculum for infants through preschool. I also recently began working at a Quality Rated Montessori preschool as a floater and afterschool lead teacher.
