I have my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Child Development and graduated March 16, 2015. I am looking to work with a family in the Chapel Hill, Asheboro, Greensboro, Siler City area. I have four children, three who are grown and on their own and one who will be graduating from high school this year. I have taught stress managment and anger management classes.
I have volunteered for at risk youths in which I coordinated outings with youth to help in confidene and support newwork-building. Built ongoing relationships with family members and serviced as a liaison for CCT. Provided mentoring on overcoming obstacles, societal pressures, and decision making. Supporte when necessary at the school or with those in the medical field.
I worked with those having developmental/mental disabilities from 1998 to 2003. I assessed individuals and provided plans to families, provided a breakdown of responsibilities into manageable components, monitored, and documented progress along with demonstrating life skills.
I have children ages 25, 24, 23, and 17, so I have a lot of experience juggling children and attending the needs of each one.
I understand the behavior of individuals and have an understanding of knowing how memeory and learning function work along with insight into problematic behaviors. I have the capacity to adapt to change and manage difficult situations and high stress environments. I know how to cope due to my organizational skills as time management and self regulataion skills along with motivation and managing emotions. My creative skills are broad.
